Overview

Daily Converteris an offline-first unit converter. It was built so you can convert units without creating an account, without an internet connection, and without handing over any personal information. This policy explains — in plain language — exactly what the app does and doesn't do with your data.

Data We Collect

We do not collect any personal data. Daily Converter has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no server-side profile of you or your device.

Your settings, favorites, and recent conversions are saved locally on your device using AsyncStorage (on-device local storage). This data:

Never leaves your device
Is never transmitted to us or anyone else
Is only readable by the app, on your device

No Network Requests

Daily Converter makes no network requests. The app works entirely offline and does not call any servers, APIs, or third-party services in the background or otherwise.

Permissions We Use

The app uses two device capabilities, both strictly local:

Device info (expo-device) — read only to display basic device/compatibility details within the app. This information is never transmitted anywhere.
Share sheet (expo-sharing) — invoked only when you explicitly tap "share." This opens your device's native share menu; no data is sent to us or any third party through this feature.

No Third-Party Sharing, Ads, or Analytics

Daily Convertercontains no analytics SDKs, no advertising networks, no crash-reporting tools, and no third-party trackers of any kind. We don't share data with third parties because we don't collect any to begin with.

Children's Privacy

Daily Converteris safe for general audiences, including children. The app does not collect personal data from anyone, regardless of age, so it is compliant with children's privacy requirements (including COPPA) by design — there is simply nothing collected to protect.

Data Deletion

Because nothing is stored off your device, there is no account or server-side record to request deletion of. If you'd like to remove all app data, simply uninstall Daily Converter — this deletes all locally stored settings, favorites, and recent conversions immediately.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds a new feature that affects data handling — we'll update this page and revise the effective date below. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
