How fresh are the exchange rates?
Rates update once per business day around 16:00 CET, when the ECB publishes its reference rates. The exact as-of date is displayed with every conversion.
Why not real-time rates?
Genuinely real-time FX data is paid on every provider. Daily ECB reference rates are the free, official standard — ideal for estimates, invoices and planning, not for executing trades.
Is an account or API key needed?
No — the tool uses the open Frankfurter API with a server-side daily cache, so it's free with no signup for you and no key to manage.
